Creating Community Via Purim Flash Mob (March, 2012)

In 2012, while I served as Interim Rabbi at Congregation B’nai Shalom in Westborough, MA, part of my role was to help the congregation create a sense of “community.”

For Purim, I organized an intergenerational flash mob, with over 30 participants ranging in age from 2-80+. This upbeat surprise took place in the middle of the Megillah reading.

Everyone had a blast! “The best Purim we ever had!”
